McPARLAND, Sr. Magdalena OP - September 1, 2015, peacefully at Parkdean Nursing Home in the loving care of her family, community and staff, Iona House, 28 Fortwilliam Park. Deeply regretted by her family, community, staff and friends. Reposing at Iona House today (Wednesday) from 1.00 to 4.30 pm. Removal to St Therese of Lisieux Church, Somerton Road for 5 pm. Funeral Mass tomorrow (Thursday) at 2 pm, followed by burial in Dominican Convent, Falls Road.

Sr Magdelena taught me at fortwilliam in 1990. I remember her fondly as my favourite nun. Such a gentle and kind soul. A real lady. I was deeply saddened by this news. May she rest in peace. God bless you sister. Xxx

One of the most kind women I had the pleasure of knowing. She lived a long and full life loving others, and receiving love in return. Bless her soul.
