Ó RIÓRDÁIN - Donnchadh (Denis), (late of Clonincurragh, Mountrath, Co. Laois, formerly of Dromahane, Co. Cork)- departed this life on August 20, 2021. We, Donnchadh's wife Mary, children Pádraig, Seosamh, Máire, Donnchadh, siblings Joan O'Connell, Dromahane and Sr. Gabriel Joseph (Maura), Scotland wish to express our sincere and deepest gratitude to all who sympathised with us following our recent very sad loss. We wish to sincerely thank our extended families, friends, and neighbours who supported us in those difficult days.We greatly appreciate all the Mass cards, phone calls, texts, emails, sympathy cards, letters, messages of condolences left on-line, the in-person visits and those who made Charitable Donations to the Irish Lung Fibrosis Association. Thanks to Fr. John Egan and Fr. Daniel Mc Donald for their visits and Spiritual Support to Donnchadh. Most sincere thanks to Fr. Willie Hennessy P.P. and Fr. Walter Cooke for the special celebration of the Funeral Mass and for their constant presence in Donnchadh's life. To Patricia, Maeve, Ellen, Laura and Robert, our sincere thanks for the beautiful music and singing. Thanks to Thomas Ferns for the live streaming of the Mass which will continue to be a source of great comfort. Many thanks to Seamus and Catherine for their preparation of the Church. We wish to acknowledge the presence of Fr. Joe Brophy P.P. Mountrath. Thank you to all who lined the route to the Church, those who stood outside during Mass, to the Slieve Bloom GAA and Camogie Clubs for the guard of honour on the day. A word of thanks to the Aghaboe Committee and those who prepared Donnchadh's final resting place. A special thanks to Seamus Burke Funeral Directors, for their assistance and professionalism. We would also like to especially thank Dr. McCullagh and the staff of the Respiratory Unit, Mater Hospital, Dr. Patrick O'Dwyer, the Staff of Mountrath Health Centre, the Community and Palliative Care team, all of you went above and beyond duty to assist Donnchadh. We greatly cherish your empathy and kindness throughout this difficult time. Sincere thanks to Sean and the Staff of Conroy's Pharmacy for your care of Donnchadh through the years. As it would be impossible to thank everybody individually, please accept this Acknowledgement as a token of our appreciation. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass has been offered for the intentions of all.
