O'BRIEN, Dr. Tom (Temple Hill, Blackrock, formerly of Knocknashee) Retired Chief Medical Advisor to the Department of Social Welfare, (peacefully) - May 24, 2017, in his 92nd year, after a long illness fought bravely with his characteristic good humour and positive attitude, under the exceptional, wonderful caring staff at the Blackrock Hospice. Tom will be sadly missed by his loving daughters, Denise, Elizabeth and Catriona, his grandchildren (late) Andrew, Conor, Lisa, Heather, Jordan, Spencer, Alex and Sophia, his brothers (late) John, Niall, Tony, his only sister Betty, his sons-in-laws, Jack O'Connor and Adi Singh, his extended family and wide circle of amazing friends. Reposing at Denise's home on Sunday from 6.00 pm until 8.00 pm. Arriving on Monday at St. John the Baptist Church, Blackrock for 11.00 o'clock Requiem Mass followed by burial in Deansgrange Cemetery.
