JOY, Elaine

JOY (née McGuire and Quinn) (formerly of "Highfield", South-Hill Avenue, Blackrock) - February 15, 2012, in the Blackrock Clinic, under the loving care of the nurses and doctors in the Nightengale Unit, Elaine, dearly loved wife of the late Jimmy and Gerry (Quinn), cherished mother of Lorraine and very dear stepmother of Maurice, Mary, Seamus and Susan. Wonderful and much loved grandmother of Jimmy, Gerry, Susanna, Joe, Laura, Sarah, Katie, Maurice, Owen, Maria, Joy and Tom and great-grandmother of her magnificent seven. Dearly missed by her sister-in-laws Maura, Eithne, Betty and her great pal Edith; deeply regretted by her daughters-in-law Adrienne and Helen and her much loved son-in-law Basil. She will always be missed by her large circle of friends and her many nieces and nephews. Elaine was pre-deceased by her sister Geraldine and her brother Jack. Reposing at her granddaughter's house in Ranelagh, today (Friday) from 11 o'clock until 6 o'clock Funeral Mass tomorrow (Saturday) in the Church of the Assumption, Booterstown at 10 o'clock followed by burial in Glasnevin Cemetery.
