HENNESSY, Humphrey CEng CIEI (Terenure, Dublin and Ballyheada, Co. Cork) - 9th July 2022 in his 96th year. Peacefully, after a short illness in the wonderful care of the staff of the Mercer Ward of St. James’s Hospital surrounded by his family and formerly under the loving care of the staff at Orwell Private Nursing Home. Predeceased by his wife Bríd and his brother Dom Pól ÓhAonghusa (Mount Melleray). He will be greatly missed by his daughters Caitríona, Máirín, Réidín, Gobnait, Bébhinn, his son Seán, his sons-in-law Jean Michel, Vinnie and Keith, his grandchildren Éléonore, Lorraine, (and their husbands Florian and Adam), Ruairí, Dominic, Emmet, Aidan, Fiona and Conor, his nieces, nephews relatives and friends. Rest in Peace. Reposing at Fanagans Funeral Home, Lower Kimmage Road tomorrow (Tuesday) from 4pm until 6pm. Removal on Wednesday to the Church of the Annunciation, Rathfarnham arriving for Funeral Mass at 10 o’c which may be viewed on the parish web cam https://rathfarnhamparish.ie/webcam/ followed by burial in Mount Venus Cemetery.
