Shaw James (Lal) (Hibernian House, Pearse Street, Mullingar) (January 15, 2008) - Lal's wife Betty, sons Joseph, Richard, James, John, Matthew, Edward and daughter Mary wish to thank most sincerely all those who sympathised with us on the recent death of Lal, beloved and much missed husband, wonderful father and grandfather. We wish to thank his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law for their help and support. We wish to thank most sincerely those who called to our home, to the many hundreds who have sent Mass cards, enrolment cards, letters, messages of sympathy and beautiful flowers. A special word of thanks to those who helped out in the house during those difficult days. Also thanks to the very large attendance at both the removal and the funeral and to those who travelled long distances to support us. Special thanks to our GP. Dr Patrick Mangan who was always there to support us. Sincere thanks to Fr. Paul Crosbie for a most memorable and special funeral Mass, also thanks to Fr. Patrick Moore, Fr. Philip Smyth, Fr. Mc Donnell and Fr. Declan Smyth who concelebrated the Mass. Special thanks to John Smyth, Joanne Fagan and all the musicians for the beautiful singing which will never be forgotten. Thanks also to the Garda Siochana directed by Sgt. Tony Quinn for their very dignified presence at the removal and the funeral. Thanks to Shaw's Undertakers for the professional manner in which they operated, and thanks to the gravedigger Seamus Lyons who prepared Dad's final resting place. Thanks also to Christy Maye and his team in the Greville Arms Hotel for their support. As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our appreciation. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your in Intentions.
