CAGNEY - Denis, Sandymount (originally of Marino) passed peacefully at home after a long illness. Dearly loved and missed by his wife Margaret, brothers Fred and Karl, sons Neil and Donagh, daughter Anna, daughter-in-law Sarah, grandchildren Sienna and Owen, and his many friends & neighbours. Reposing at Massey Bros Funeral Home, Blackrock (A94 X308), on Wednesday 18th February from 5pm to 7pm. Funeral Mass will be held at 10am on Thursday 19th February, at St Marys Star of the Sea Church, Sandymount (D04T0A8), followed by cremation at 12.15pm in the Victorian Chapel at Mount Jerome Crematorium, Harolds Cross (D6WHY98). Very sad to read this notice today. While I have hardly seen Denis since we were in Trinity together in the 1970s I still remember fondly his highly intelligent and witty nature. A sad day for the extended Cagney family today.
