BOWEN (Monkstown) - October 23, 2009 (peacefully), after a short illness, at the Mercy University Hospital, Michael, Monkstown, Co. Cork (late Union Chandlery), beloved husband of Mamie (née Mangan) and loving father of Laura, John, Paul and Gwen; sadly missed by his loving wife, sons, daughters, grandchildren, sisters Mamo, Margo and Breeda, nephews, nieces, sons-in-law John and Donal, daughters- in-law Jean and Lisa, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, relatives and his many friends. Reposing at his home today (Saturday) from 6 p.m. to 8.30 p.m. Reception into the Sacred Heart Church, Monkstown tomorrow (Sunday) at 12.50 p.m. for 1 p.m. Requiem Mass. Funeral afterwards to St Colman's Cemetery, Cobh.Requiescat in pace.

<p>A message from Michael's Australian cousins in Canberra</p> <p>Jock and I are very sad that Michael has died so suddenly and our thoughts and prayers go to Mamie and all the family at the loss of such a loving, kind and generous soul. We will miss him - our visits to Ireland won't be the same without Michael's smiling welcome but he will never be forgotten!</p> <p>Margaret, Jock, Clare & Euan McLean</p>
