MACNAMARA - George, Phoenix Court, Ennis, Co. Clare and formerly of Bankyle House, Corofin, Co. Clare. George passed away peacefully on Tuesday 17 February 2026, following a short illness, borne with great dignity, in St. Theresas Nursing Home, Kilrush, Co. Clare in his 94th year. Predeceased by his mother Frances, father Dr. Donough, brother Michael, sisters Monica and Morlin (Sr Marie Joan). Sadly missed by his adored wife Rose, son Donough, brother Maccon, sister-in-law Finola, nieces Morlin and Miriam, nephews Lochloinn, Mahon, Tiernan and Maccon-Fionn, extended family and a wide circle of friends. Reposing at Kennedys Funeral Home, Ennis today (Wednesday) from 6pm until 7am. Arriving at Shannon Crematorium tomorrow (Thursday) for Funeral Service at 11am. No flowers please, donations, if desired, to the National Council for the Blind.
