McGrath, Charles Joseph BE C.Eng F.I.E.I (Terenure, Dublin and late of Omagh, Co. Tyrone), 18 October 2017, peacefully, in his 100th year, at St Vincent’s University Hospital and prior to that in the wonderful care of the staff in The Marlay Nursing Home. Pre-deceased by his much loved wife May (2006). Formerly Chief Engineer, Department of Fisheries and Forestry, twenty eight years a member and last chairman of Inland Fisheries Trust, five years member of Coiste an Asgard and Honorary Life Member and Past Captain of Grange Golf Club. Very much regretted by Fergus Glendon and Caitriona O’Brien, Ann and Pat Sherry, the Forde, Nolan and Mahony families and his very many friends in the world of fisheries and golf in Europe and Ireland. Reposing at Fanagans Funeral Home, Lower Kimmage Road on Monday evening (23 October) from 4 pm to 5.30 pm. Removal on Tuesday morning (24 October) to Terenure College Chapel arriving for Requiem Mass at 11 am and afterwards to Mount Jerome Cemetery, Harold’s Cross. Family flowers only please.
