Youngest son of Sir William and Lady Murphy (née Ormsby), brother of Mary, Christopher, poet Richard (D. 2018) and Elizabeth (D. 2016). Mourned by his wife Lilian and step-children: Faye (Ruvimbo) and husband Donnchadh, Bently and Ruddy. Laid to rest at Altar Church (Teampol na mBocht), Toormore, West Cork, on Monday, August 26, 2019.
