LYNOTT, John, (Grangebeg, Dunlavin, formerly Killala Co. Mayo) - October 12, 2015, (peacefully), at home, surrounded by his loving family, following a long illness, borne with dignity and good humour, pre-deceased by his brother Brendan and parents Jack and Catherine. Beloved husband of Margaret and father of Dermot, Anne and Mary; sadly missed by his wife, son, daughters, daughter-in-law Louise and grandson Cillian, aunt Winn (USA), nieces, nephews, former colleagues of St. Kevin's Community College and the extended Whelan family. Reposing at his home from 12 noon today (Wednesday) with prayers at 8pm. Funeral Mass tomorrow (Thursday) at 12 noon in St. Nicholas of Myra Church Dunlavin, followed by burial in local Cemetery. Family flowers only, donations if desired to Donard/ Dunlavin Meals on Wheels. (Donation boxes at Church).

Sincere sympathy on the death of John. I've just belatedly heard the very sad news. He was a central character of my years in UCG 1968/71. A lovely man. Carmel Kelly( nee McKim)
