ANDERSON, Anne Patricia, (née Mullan), (Bangor, Co Down) - December 26, 2014; slipped away peacefully, in her 68th year, following a short illness. Devoted to and deeply missed by husband Robin and children Gareth and Lucy; also greatly missed by sister Pauline, daughter-in-law Nicola and especially by her adoring grand daughters Megan and Sophie. Anne's career began in sales with the Belfast Telegraph and then with the Irish Times in Dublin (where she and Robin met and Gareth and Lucy were born). After the family moved to Bangor in 1973, Anne studied sociology at University of Ulster and lectured in the subject after graduating. She expanded her range to cover psychology and pioneered FE counselling studies in Northern Ireland. This process helped her discover her true vocation and she spent her last 20 years practicing as a psychoanalytic psychotherapist. For those who wish to attend, a brief ceremony will be held at Roselawn Crematorium on Wednesday January 7, 2015 at 1pm followed by a memorial gathering at home to celebrate Anne's life from 2.30-7pm to which all are welcome; Oberon, 136 Groomsport Road, Bangor BT20 5PE. Family flowers only; donations if desired to Age NI.
