I often wondered what happened to Fr Bernard. I met him at a school retreat at Hazlewood Castle and he was so kind to me. We kept in touch over the years and he celebrated my Simple Vows Mass when I was in Carmel . Once I’d left and got married I couldn’t find him again so every once in a while I check the internet and I saw this. Rest in Peace Fr Bernard.

Fr. Bernard, Desmond Brennan and I were students together in St. Mary's College Aberystwyth Wales in 1965. We came from the USA to Dublin to visit him in May. Unfortunately only telephone conversations were possible. I have offered Holy Mass for the repose of his soul.
