McCARTHY, James (Jim) (Esker Lawns, Lucan and formerly of Ballinglen, Tara Hill, Co. Wexford and late of Dublin District Milk Board). April 27, 2020. Peacefully, in the loving care of the McNulty family and the excellent staff of Marymount Care Centre, Westmanstown. Beloved husband of Elizabeth, and much loved father of Niall, Kevin, Ailish and Bríd. Predeceased by his beloved son Fintan, and infant daughters Ann-Thérèse and Sinéad. Adored grandfather of Bec, Fionn, Ben, Charlie, Faye, Clodagh, Cian, Donal and Alex. Also predeceased by his brothers Charlie and Billy, sisters Peg, Anne, Sheila, Jo and Jean. Sadly missed by his loving family, daughter-in-law Dilly, sons-in-law Richie and Sheamus, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives and friends. R.I.P. Funeral Mass will be streamed live on https://lucanparish.com/live-webcam-stream at 2.00pm tomorrow (Thursday) followed by a private burial in Esker Cemetery. For those who would have liked to attend the funeral but due to current restrictions cannot, please leave your personal message in the condolences section of www.irishtimes.com A memorial Mass to celebrate Jim’s life will take place at a future date. Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to your choice of Brother Kevin, Capuchin Day Centre or the Alzheimer Society of Ireland.
