O'NEILL (née Smyth), Bernadette (Bernie), July 9, 2019. On Bernie's first anniversary her daughter Cathy (White), son-in-law Conor, along with the wider Smyth family would like to sincerely thank the many, many people who supported us and provided comfort in the time leading up to and after Bernie's death. We would like to pay a special tribute to the staff at Beechfield Manor, in particular Ann-Marie and Joan, her long time carer and friend. Thank you to Father John O'Connor of St. Anne's Parish and our friends in Rathmichael Parish. Sincere thanks to Stephen Collier and his sons at Collier's Funeral Directors for your respectful professionalism. To the many friends of ours and friends of Bernie from Navan, the ESB, Shankill and further afield who sent messages, cards, attended Bernie's reposing and funeral - we are eternally grateful for the support from each and every one of you. Your kindness, words and practical help provided immense comfort to us. As we observe with deep sadness families having to travel this journey alone in these difficult times, we are even more grateful that we had the privilege of being surrounded by you all to carry us through. We have made a donation to support the fight against COVID-19 in remote communities in Kenya through brightercommunities.org as an expression of our deepest gratitude.
