BURDOCK (Leo) (Brian) (First Anniversary. February 3, 2004) - Brian's wife Anne, daughter Mary and son-in-law Dick wish to express sincere appreciation to all those who sympathised with them in their sad and sudden loss. We thank all those who attended the removal, funeral Mass and burial, sent Mass Cards, letters of sympathy and those who contributed to Respiratory Research at Beaumont Hospital. Our deepest gratitude to our extended family, wonderful friends and neighbours in Raheny and Sandyford; Mary's fantastic friends at Kilternan C. of I. National School, without whose support this last year would have been wholly unbearable. Special thanks to those at Donabate Golf Club, the Cedars Golf Society, The Rapps and the Fruit Traders Golf Society; Tesco Ireland and the staff at all its branches, especially Nicholas at Head Office; to Gerry Keenan at Fish Direct, the lads in the Fish Market and all the staff at Leo Burdock's Fish & Chip shops. Once again, we thank Prof O'Neill and Roisín at Beaumont Private Clinic for over fifteen years of care and attention; the staff at St Laurence's Ward and I.C.U.; also the staff at St Joseph's Hospital, Raheny. Thanks to those who travelled long distances, particularly Jocelyn (U.K.) and Amy (U.S.A.) who have always been there for us, regardless of distance. Sincere thanks to Fr Jim who has been a great support, particularly in the days immediately after Brian's death; Fr Price P.P. and Fr Droomgoole who assisted at the funeral Mass and to Canon David Moynan for his continued support, and all those at Massey's Funeral Home. As it is impossible to thank everybody individually, we trust this message will be taken as a token of our appreciation to all those who extended their friendship and kindness to Brian in life and to us in our great loss. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass has been offered for your intentions. First Anniversary Mass will be at 7.30 o'clock in St John the Evangelist Church, Kilbarrack this evening, February 3."Trust the dreams, for in them is hidden the gate to eternity."
