BARRY, Denis (Joe) (Blackrock, Co. Dublin, formerly of Dunmanway, West Cork and former Director General of RTE) July 6, 2022. Peacefully, in the excellent care of the staff at the Blackrock Clinic. Beloved husband of Aileen and loving father of John, David, Brian and the late Linda. He will be sadly missed by his wife, sons, daughters-in-law Maureen and Deborah, his nine grandsons, brother Billy, sister Sheila, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Reposing this (Monday) evening from 5.00pm to 7.00pm in Carnegies Funeral Home, Monkstown, A94 XK28. Funeral Mass at 10.00am tomorrow (Tuesday) in the Church of Our Lady of Perpetual Succour, Foxrock followed by cremation in Mount Jerome. For those that cannot attend, the Mass can be viewed online using the following link: https://www.churchservices.tv/foxrock . Messages to the family can be left in the ‘Condolences’ section on www.irishtimes.com . Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired to the Irish Heart Foundation (www.irishheart.ie) May he Rest in Peace.
