WALSH - Gabriel (Gay) (Foxrock and Tuam), March 20, 2021. On this, Gay’s First Anniversary, we remember with fondness his gentleness, easy manner, trusted friendship, endless kindness, hearty laugh and his ability to get the party going with his piano-playing. Frances, Ronan and Brídín would like to thank most sincerely all those who sympathised with us on the sad loss of our lovely Dad and supported us at this difficult time. Because of the pandemic restrictions we could not give Dad the send-off he deserved but we would like to take this opportunity to thank family and friends who called, sent cards, wrote condolences on rip.ie, joined the funeral online, gathered outside the church and crematorium, and all those who lined the street at our home when Dad’s funeral cortège was passing. At this time, we also remember with fondness our dear Mum Maura (née McCabe) who sadly passed away just months after Dad. A social butterfly, her loving and vibrant spirit is sorely missed by all those who knew and loved her. Best friends reunited again. Le chéile go deo.

“Take time to think of us awhile,

And let your thoughts

bring on a smile,

To those we love, though gone away

We’ll walk beside you every day”
