Great Teacher

Don't know why but was thinking about Joe Reville all day today. I can't remember much of what he taught me science-wise but he was such a large character, taught me so much about life. He was one of the greats!

Luke Nelson

R.I.P. Joe Reville, Adventurer and Entertainer

I knew Joe Reville some years ago from hillwalking. He was an engaging character. Joe always had a quick riposte to any remark thrown at him. Joe relished a challenge. I have heard so many stories about him since as well. I was aware too of his expert knowledge and experience in the teaching of science.

Joe was unique - a once-off.

I am sorry that I was not able to make his funeral, but I know that many of my fellow hillwalkers that knew him did get to see him off.

Declan Walsh - Bogtrotters Hillwalking Club.

An inspirational Science teacher

I worked with Joe a few years ago. He was an inspirational man who made teaching look easy. I was very sad to hear of his passing. The science teaching community has lost a great man. Thank you Joe for all your help , enthusiasm and for sharing your love of teaching. Sharon
