CANNY - (Woodbine Road and Dalkey) Peacefully, surrounded by his family, at Blackrock Hospice on St Valentines Day 2026. Barry, after a prolonged illness borne with great strength, dignity and bravery. Son of the late Patrick and Carmel Canny. He is survived by his devoted and loving wife Dee and their daughters Gina, Emily and Julie. Barry will be greatly missed by Dee and the girls, his sisters Deirdre, Ailish and Fiona, his brother Raymond, brothers- in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews in particular Gareth and Sarah, Ginas partner Ian, his team at Peploes and a very wide circle of friends. May his gentle soul rest in peace. Reposing on Wednesday 18th February between 5.00pm and 8.00pm at the Fanagan Carnegie Funeral Home in Monkstown, A94 XK28. Funeral Mass will take place on Thursday, 19th February at 11.00am in the Church of the Assumption, Booterstown Avenue, followed by burial in Kilternan Cemetery Park. House Strictly Private.No Flowers please, donations if desired to the Blackrock Hospice.
