Eternal rest .
Fr. Oliver Martin , called me today to tell me of the sad passing of Fr. Gerard . I'm truly saddened by the news . A holy and truly blessed priest and a true inspiration . Whenever I came across the sea from Scotland. Fr Gerald always made me feel so very welcome and very much part of kilnacrott . I will miss him very much on my return. My sympathy to the Cusack family and all connected with holy Trinity Abbey. Toni Vastano

Fond memories of Fr Gerard

I was saddened to hear of the passing of Fr Gerard this week.A truly devoted priest and wonderful compassioante human being.I knew Fr Gerard when his was a curate in Kilmore West in Dublin in the 1980`s and fondly recall his commitment to supporting Summer Projects , Youth Groups and Special Needs organisations that I was involved in.My own mother was his housekeeper for his time in Kilmore and during all his years away from Kilmore he was always able to recall many of the people whom he knew during his time there. He had great affection for Kilmore West and the parishioners there likewise for him.He will be greatly missed but will never be forgotten. RIP Fr Gerard and thank you

Matthew Ladrigan
