BURKE Dr. Noel Francis, (Galway). We, the family of the late Dr. Noel Burke would like to thank all those who sympathised with us at the time of Noel's death. We thank all who attended the funeral at St. Ignatius Church and all who sent Mass cards and messages of sympathy. We wish to thank, most sincerely, Father Charlie Davy S. J., Msgr John O'Boyle and Organist Regina Lyons. We also thank O'Flaherty Funeral Directors for their help and guidance. Thank you to all the carers at Bluebird with a very special word of thanks to Patrick. We would also like to thank the following people; Dr. Tom O'Gorman for being a good friend to Noel throughout the years; William Sandys for all his help and advice; the 'all-year- round' swimmers at Blackrock - for being there and sharing fond memories; Peadar O'Dowd for his thoughtful and witty eulogy and Benny for his outstanding and very moving renditions of Ol' Man River and Galway Bay. Finally, thank you to the staff of St Enda's Ward at the University College Hospital. As it is impossible to mention everyone by name, please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our heartfelt gratitude.
