FitzGerald Alexis (Dublin) July 15, 2015, in the care of all the staff at St. Vincent's Private Hospital; beloved husband of Mary (Flaherty) and loving father of Oliver, Nicholas, Michael and Alexis. Greatly missed by his devoted sisters and brother; Barbara, Cliodna, Nesta, Oliver and Ann, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, the extended FitzGerald family, his dear cousin John Maiben Gilmartin, his relations, colleagues from the political and business worlds and many friends. Requiescat in pace. Removal tomorrow (Saturday) morning to the Church of Mary Immaculate, Refuge of Sinners, Rathmines arriving for Funeral Mass at 10.00 o'c and then to Glasnevin Cemetery.

Have only just heard of this tragic news from a mutual friend here in Cheltenham, Jane Moyle. Very shocked but hope you’re lives rebuilt with happiness. I have a lovely photograph, me with Alexis, when mayor.
