COONEY (David) (Newcastle, Co. Dublin) - On this the first anniversary of our loving and much loved David's death, we, his heartbroken parents Vincent and Mary, his brothers Austin and Peter and his sister Niamh wish to express our heartfelt everlasting thanks for the immense sympathy and support extended to us on the very sad loss of our sorely missed son and brother. A special thank you to David's Uncle Peter - Fr. Peter Rodgers ofm cap., - who concelebrated a very moving funeral Mass, to the Capuchin Friars, and to the musicians who rendered beautiful music during the Mass. Our most sincere thanks to the huge number of people who attended David's removal and funeral, so many of whom travelled long distances to be there. We deeply appreciate the genuine expressions of sympathy extended to us personally and in letters, Mass and sympathy cards, enrolments and floral tributes. Sincere thanks to all of the following; - An Garda Siochana, especially the brave members of the Garda Water Unit, Valentia Lifeboat, Derrynane Inshore Rescue, Shannon Rescue Helicopter Team, voluntary Sub-Aqua Divers, Peamount United F.C., St. Finian's GAA Club, Newcastle Golf Soc., Newcastle Youth Club, Rathcoole Boys F.C., Tymon Celtic F.C., Liverpool Football Supporters Club and the local Schools. A special word of thanks to David's employer and friends at Dignam Electric, I.P.C. Ltd., and Oxigen Environmental. Sincere thanks also to Fr. Hussey P.P. Ballinskelligs, Co. Kerry, our relatives and all the people of the locality for their kindness and wonderful support shown to us at the time of David's drowning accident. Many thanks to all who gave donations to Valentia Lifeboat and Derrynane Inshore Rescue Services. A heartfelt thank you to David's many loyal friends, our caring families, relatives, neighbours and friends whose support has been invaluable. As a token of our appreciation the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass has been offered for your intentions. David is lovingly remembered in Masses offered to-day. "Ar dheis De go raibh a anam".
