MEARLEY, Bert (Patrick Albert) – Foxrock, Dublin and formerly of Ballagh, Newtowncashel, Co. Longford. Peacefully on 1st February 2025 in the wonderful care of Our Lady’s Hospice, Blackrock, surrounded by his loving family. Bert will be sadly missed by his beloved wife Patricia, cherished daughters Louise and Rowena, loving sister Ann, sisters-in-law Catherine (McDermott) and Bernadette (Boylan), as well as his extended family, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and wonderful neighbours. Reposing at Massey Bros. Funeral Home, Goatstown (D14X348) on Wednesday 5th February from 4pm – 7pm. Removal on Thursday morning (6th February) to the Church of Our Lady of Perpetual Succour, Foxrock, arriving at 9:45am followed by Requiem Mass at 10am. Cremation thereafter at Mount Jerome, Victorian Chapel at 12:15 pm. Bert’s ashes will be interred later in the year in Saints Island Longford, following Mass in Church of the Blessed Virgin, Newtoncashel, Longford. Family flowers only please, donations in lieu of flowers to National Council for the Blind or Our Lady’s Hospice and Care Services. Bert’s warmth, kindness, and presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. May he rest in peace.
