YATES - Freda Delphine M.A., (19 Talbot’s Inch, Kilkenny) (former Headmistress of Collegiate School, Celbridge and Kilkenny College). The Yates family - Tom and Shirley, James, Bruce and Sandra (Arnopp) - and our families wish to express our heartfelt thanks for the support we received from those who visited, called or sent messages of sympathy following Freda’s death on January 29, 2020. Special thanks to all who were involved in her care: Dr Claire Cusack and all at Ayrfield Medical Practice and Pharmacy, the nurses from Kilkenny Bluebird Care who enabled her to live at home, as she wished; the doctors, nurses and staff of St. Luke’s Hospital, in particular the GEMS Ward and A&E, who cared for her on so many occasions with such affection and kindness; Mairéad Parker Byrne, Clodagh Uí Chuinneagáin and the wonderful staff at Gowran Abbey Nursing Home, where Freda had been convalescing; all her supportive friends and neighbours, in particular Josie and the recently deceased Tom Donohoe. We also wish to thank Samuel Johnston of Johnston’s Funeral Home for his help and guidance in organising the funeral, and the Very Reverend David McDonnell and Reverend Suzanne Harris for officiating at the funeral service and crematorium respectively. As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our gratitude and appreciation. We are so thankful for her long life and we remember with gratitude a life lived with love. She walked humbly with her God.
