KEAVENY - The peaceful death has taken place, at Longfield Care Home, Derry, surrounded by his family, of Fr. Michael Keaveny, formerly of Moville, St. Columb's College and the parishes of Galliagh, Omagh and Killygordon and latterly of Faughanvale Parish, Co. Derry. Predeceased by his parents James and Bridget and his brothers and sisters, Fr. Laurence, Paddy, JJ, Peter, Brendan, Anna, Chris, Mary and Bernie. Deeply regretted by his brother Vincent and sister Eileen (Farrelly), nieces, nephews and extended family. Sorely missed by his brother Priests, Bishop of Derry Diocese - Bishop Donal McKeown, remembering also his devoted housekeeper of 47 years, Ms Nancy McCallion, who died on September 1st 2025. Requiescat In Pace. Removal in Star of the Sea Church, Faughanvalethere, Saturday at 1pm going to the home of his niece, Dr. Lucy White, 2 Church Terrace, Moville (F93 D2KN) where you are all welcome to pay your respects until 9pm and on Sunday from 12 noon to 9pm. Funeral from there on Monday (September 22nd) at 11.30am for 12 noon Requiem Mass in St. Pius X Church, Moville, followed by Interment in Ballybrack cemetery.
