FLEMING, Hugh Gabriel (late of Sandymount, Greystones, Mount Merrion, Ballinteer and Rathmines, also former employee of Traynor Motors and O.B.F. Distributors, former coach at Shelbourne, Shamrock Rovers, Dundalk and “Reds United”) April 27, 2020, peacefully at Nephin Nursing Home. Predeceased by his wife Ann, brother Ward and sister Margaret. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him and loved him, especially Ping. Many thanks to Dominic Dowling Jnr. and Snr. over the years. Due to government advice regarding public gatherings, a private funeral will take place. Those who wish to, may leave a message of condolence for his family at www.rommassey.ie. “May he rest in peace”

I'm sorry to hear of Hughie, my condolences to his family. I first met Hughie when I played for Bolton Athletic way back in 1963. Hughie was a gentleman and always gave encouragemen​t to young footballers like myself. He will be sadly missed
