McCARTHY - Dr Daniel P. (January 24, 2020. Clareview House, O’Connell Ave, Limerick Late University Hospital Limerick and formerly of Rathfern, Lee Rd, Cork). Dan left us this time last year secure in the expert care of the staff of Milford Hospice. His family, wife Helen (née Ritchie) daughter Ailsa, sons Dan, Paul, and Andrew would like to thank all who helped us at that sad time. Our thanks especially to the staff Milford Hospice, UHL, and St Camillus Hospital. The pastoral care of Fr Oliver Plunkett St Joseph’s Parish and of our neighbours the Redemptorist Congregation was much appreciated. Our thanks to the friends colleagues and family who came to the wake, the funeral mass and the burial in St Maelruain’s Tallaght. The wider family; sisters-in-law Leone Ritchie, Mary and Pat McCarthy, son-in-law Koen Van Malder, daughters-in-law Orla McAndrew and Aoife Murphy, nieces and nephews, grandchildren Aoibhe, Katie, Sadhbh, Luke, Maedhbh, Sibéal, Finn, and Lorcan all join in remembering Dan’s warmth and vitality and give thanks for his long and happy life.
