GEANEY, Anne (Tonbwee, Castleisland, Co. Kerry and Dublin) - On Anne's first anniversary her father Dr. Dave, her mother Geraldine (Baily), her brother Conor, her sister Ruth (Fanning) and her extended family wish to express their sincere gratitude to all those who sympathised on their sad loss. We deeply appreciate the kindness and support of those who sent letters of sympathy, Mass cards, called to the house, attended the removal and her funeral Mass. Many thanks also to all those who travelled long distances to be with us at the funeral services. We would also like to express our thanks to Anne's relatives, colleagues and her wide circle of friends for the support they gave Anne all throughout her illness. A special word of thanks to Anne's uncle Fr. Niall Geaney (St Patrick's Society, Kiltegan) who travelled from Kenya to be with Anne in her last few weeks and for organising and presiding at her funeral Mass. We would like to thank all the priests who concelebrated Anne's funeral Mass with Fr. Niall. A sincere thank you to Bernard and Anne-Marie Tangney, Undertakers, for their professionalism and courtesy. Many thanks also to Helen Lyons for her beautiful singing on the day of Anne's funeral Mass. We would also like to express our gratitude to the doctors, nurses and staff of St Vincent's and the Beacon hospitals for their care of Anne during her illness. We very much appreciate the tremendous care given to Anne and also the kindness shown to us as a family by the staff of the Beacon Hospital in Anne's final few weeks. As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually we trust that this acknowledgement will be accepted as a token of our appreciation. Anne's First Anniversary Mass will be held in Castleisland Parish Church on Saturday, November 12 at 7 p.m.
