SLATTERY, Fr. Gabriel (Gay) (Blanchardstown, Clontarf and Mount Merrion) - June 18th, 2021 (peacefully) in the loving care of all the staff of the Beacon Hospital, beloved son of the late Michael and Delia, loving brother of Brendan and Mary (Coleman). Sadly missed by his brother, sister, sister-in-law Kirsi, brother-in-law Maurice, nieces and nephews Maria, Michael, Fiona, Theresa, Brian and Catherine, his fellow clergy, extended family and many friends. In accordance with current Government guidelines and in the hope of keeping our friends and family safe, Gabriel’s Funeral will take place privately, tomorrow (Wednesday), June 23rd at 11am but can be viewed online at http://www.mountmerrionparish.ie/webcam/ followed by burial in Deans Grange Cemetery. No flowers, please. Donations, if desired, to the Irish Cancer Society. Rest in Peace

Just heard the very sad news of Gay,s death . I knew him since I was a little girl. At all times he was gentle ,caring kind and thoughtful for others .He will be sadly missed . God rest his gentle soul . Maeve Keaney (Salford UK ) 24/07/21

Sweet Father Gabe. I met you when I was very young and you were a delightful person and parish priest. I loved to hear you say the alphabet especially the H’s. You came to many family gatherings and swam in our pool. Rest In Peace
