McNICHOLL Zita (née O'Gorman), (Dalkey and Sandycove) - May 28, 2014, at Newtownpark House, Blackrock. Adored wife of the late Gerald McNicholl, much loved mother of Ann, Paul, Jane, Isolde and Cliona. Treasured "Nan" to grandchildren Orla, Brian and Sara Murphy, David, Liam, Juan and Adrian McNicholl, and Hannah, Ian and Senai Motley and great-grandchildren Rachael and Yseult Orpen, Cuan and Liam Murphy and Mario, Irene and Diego McNicholl. Favourite aunt, great-aunt mother-in-law and out-law, godmother and friend to many more. She was surrounded until the moment of her death by those who loved her and already miss her spirit: "My life has been like a good party and now it's time to go home to bed ". Zita's family thanks the staff of Newtownpark House and Dr. Conor Murphy for ensuring that her last days were filled with grace and comfort. In keeping with her last wishes her body has been donated to medical science and there will be no funeral. A memorial service will be announced.
