FORSYTH, John (Ian) aged eighty-seven years, (late of Laurelton, Rathgar and late of Rosehill, Blackrock) September 3, 2019, peacefully, after a short illness borne with humour and dignity in the loving and wonderful care of the Cara Ward in St Vincent’s Private Hospital. Beloved and adored husband of Bride Doyle (née O'Byrne) and the late Anastasia. Wonderful dad to Helen, Jill, Deirdre, Ian and Orla, and wonderful second Dad to Mary, Sean, Cathy, Claire, Hugh, Myles and Mark. Father-in-law to Niall, Michael, Kelly, Lesley, Tony, David, Miriam, Moira and Louise. Deirdre's partner, Trevor, brother to Phyllis, Anne, the late Babs, Brenda, Sheila and Susan, brother-in-law of Patsy, the late Gerard, Brian and Edwin, uncle to nieces and nephews, adored grandad and great grandfather to too many to name, but all cherished. A huge circle of friends and neighbours in Rathgar and Blackrock. He will be sorely missed. John will be reposing at his family home this (Thursday) evening from 4pm to 8pm. Removal tomorrow (Friday) morning to St Joseph’s Church, Terenure arriving at 10.45am for Requiem Mass at 11am. Funeral afterwards to Mount Jerome Crematorium, Harold’s Cross. (Victorian Chapel). Family flowers only please. A light has gone out, but a star is born!
