DOUGLAS, John (Joseph) Hawthorn Close, Newbridge, Co. Kildare and late of Portarlington, Co. Laois – December 21, 2023 (peacefully) surrounded by his loving family at Naas Hospital after a short illness. Predeceased by his loving wife Margaret (Peggy). Fondly missed by his dearest daughters Sarah (Foley), Maria (Morrison), sons-in-law Shane and Andy, grandchildren Fern, Cian, Felix, Iarla and Fia, sister Susan, brothers-in-law Tom and Oliver, nieces and nephews, extended family, relatives and friends. May John Rest in Peace Reposing at Anderson & Leahy’s Funeral Home, Newbridge on Tuesday December 26 (St. Stephen’s Day) from 5pm with prayers at 7pm. Removal on Wednesday, December 27 at 10.30am to arrive at St. Conleth’s Parish Church, Newbridge for Mass at 11am. Mass can be viewed on https://newbridgeparish.ie/parish-church Funeral afterwards to St. Conleth’s Cemetery, Newbridge. The family would like to thank the staff and residents of Mill Lane Manor Nursing Home, Naas for the wonderful care and friendship they have given to John over the last 6 years.
