GILMARTIN, (née Nolan) Imelda (Kimmage Dublin), January 13, 2017, (peacefully) after a short illness bravely borne, at St. Vincent's University Hospital, beloved wife of the late Paddy, loving mother of Catherine, Francis (Brisbane), Mary Lou, Clare, Cathal and the late PJ., predeceased by Máirín, Jim, John and Pádraig. Very sadly missed by her loving sons and daughters, sisters Angela (Dunne) and Frances (Clinch), brother Christy, daughters in-law Kirsty and Gillian, sons in-law Brendan, Barry and John, grandchildren Conor, Ciara, Donal, Cathal, Maria, Laoise, Fionn, Áine, Lachlan, Pádraig and Adrian, brothers in-law Jimmy and Brendan, sisters in-law Dymphna and Anne, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and dear friends. Requiescat in Pace. Reposing at her home tomorrow (Sunday) from 2 o'c until 8 o'clock Removal on Monday evening to St. Pauls Retreat Mount Argus arriving at 5.15 o'clock Funeral on Tuesday after 11.30 o'c Mass to Bohernabreena Cemetery. Family flowers only, donations if desired to Loreto Missions.
GILMARTIN Imelda (née Nolan) died January 13, 2017 - On this the First Anniversary of the death of our cherished mother Imelda (wife of the late Paddy and mother of the late P.J.), her children Catherine, Francis (Brisbane), Mary Lou, Clare and Cathal, together with her sisters Angela (Dunne) and Frances (Clinch), brother Christy (Nolan) and the extended Gilmartin and Nolan families, would like to thank most sincerely all the friends, neighbours and colleagues who sympathised with us on the very sad loss of a wonderful mother, sister, grandmother, mother-in-law, sister-in-law and aunt. We would like to acknowledge and express our warmest appreciation to all those who attended Imelda's removal and funeral Mass, sent Mass Cards and letters of condolence, those who called to the house and those who travelled to be with us. We extend our deep gratitude to Fr. Pat Rogers C.P., Fr. John Hughes O.S.A., Fr John Corrigan C.P., and the Passionist Community at St. Paul's Retreat, Mount Argus. We wish to thank all those who cared for Imelda, including the doctors, nursing staff and chaplains at St. Vincent's University Hospital. We also wish to thank the team at Fanagans Funeral Directors for their excellent professional assistance with Imelda's funeral arrangements. Our grateful appreciation to all who made donations to the Loreto Missions in her memory. It has been a difficult and sad year for all of us but we have been given continuing strength by all the kindness and support we have received from so many.
