On the First Anniversary of Peadar's death, his wife Carmel together with their family - daughters Deirdre and Niamh, sons Niall and Peadar, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, sister Aine and brother Cathal, would like to express their sincere appreciation and heartfelt thanks to their extended family, their wonderful neighbours and friends for their kindness and support during Peadar's illness, at the time of his passing and during the past year. We would like to offer a very sincere thank you to all those who attended the removal and the Funeral Mass, who sent Mass cards, Novena of Masses, letters of sympathy, floral tributes, phone calls and called to our home. We are deeply grateful to Mons John Fitzpatrick and Fr. Liam Lacey who attended to Peadar's spiritual needs and for the thoughtful and meaningful removal service and Funeral Mass. We would like to extend a sincere thank you to Fr Tom Russell OFM, Fr. Terry Howard SJ, Fr. Anthony Reilly and Fr. Raymond Maloney for concelebrating the Mass. We would like to extend a special word of thanks to Beann Eadair GAA club members who formed the respectful guards of honour outside the church and to the children and staff of St Fintans, The Burrow and St. Mary's National Schools who formed the guard of honour at the cemetery. It was a touching tribute and deeply appreciated by all the family. The family would like to thank Kirwans funeral undertakers for their professional and dignified manner in which they conducted the funeral. We would like to thank all Peadar's carers and St Francis Hospice who took such excellent care of Peadar at home. As it is impossible to thank so many people individually please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of deep appreciation and gratitude. Mass will be offered for all of your intentions.
