MacDONALD, Dr. Dermot W. (Rathmines, Dublin and former Master, National Maternity Hospital, Holles Street) October 31, 2018, peacefully at home; beloved husband of the late Laura and loving father to Alison, Deirdre, Helen, Suzanne and Laura Jane; predeceased by his brothers Fr. Norman, S.J. and Gerald. Sadly missed by his brothers Jimmy, Paddy and Donal, his sister Caroline, sons-in-law Peter, John, Kevin, Antonello and John, his grandchildren Aisling, Eoin, Matthew, Elizabeth, Hannah, Paul, Leo, Luisa, Joe and Laura, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. May he rest in peace. Reposing at his home this (Friday) evening from 5.00 o’c until 8.00 o’c. Removal tomorrow (Saturday) morning to the Church of the Holy Name, Beechwood Avenue arriving for Funeral Mass at 10.00 o’c and then to Mount Venus Cemetery, Rockbrook, Rathfarnham.

I only just found out Dr Mc Donald passed in 2018. He delivered both my children giving me untold confidence during my pregnancies. He was the kindest, most pleasant, understanding Doctor I ever met ....and have still to meet. RIEP
