SMITH - Dr. Paul (Bridge Street, Cootehill, Co. Cavan) October 7, 2020 retired consultant physician, peacefully at Cavan General Hospital followed a long illness bravely borne. Predeceased by his parents Colm and Peggy and his infant brother Declan. Deeply regretted by his brothers Jim, Colm, Joseph, Don and Stephen, sisters-in-law Phyl, Lucia, Fionnuala and Catherine, his aunt Pat, nephews and nieces Darren, Sarah, Laura, Blaíthín, Ann, Colm, Paul, Aideen, Donal, Claire, Joseph and Lucy, cousins, relatives, friends and former colleagues. Due to Government and HSE Regulations Paul’s funeral and burial will be private to family. Restricted to 25 people. Funeral cortege will leave his home this (Saturday) morning at 11.30am to arrive at St. Michael’s Church Cootehill for 12.00 noon funeral Mass. Burial afterwards in St. Michael’s cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations in lieu to Friends of Cavan Hospital.
