McGUIRK, Marie Josephine (née Neary – she is the last of the Neary line), (Clontarf, Dublin) - April 23, 2020, (peacefully) in the wonderful care of Marymount Care Centre, Westmanstown. A much-loved Montessori teacher, hiker, nature-lover, amateur botanist and historian, and long-time member of the Dublin Naturalists’ Field club. Predeceased by her adored son Colm in 1988 and by her husband and lifelong companion Seán in 2017; sadly missed by her sons Donal, Eoin, Fiacra and Oran, daughters-in-law Lisa, Miriam and Tonia, grandchildren Alexandra, Oisín, Sonia, Matthew, Saoirse, Seán, Emma and Jack, great-grandson Charlie, extended family and friends. R.I.P. In keeping with government advice, a private funeral mass will take place. A mass and a memorial service to commemorate Marie’s long life will be held at a later date. The church service may be viewed via webcam (https://www.stjohnsclontarf.ie/webcam/) at 9.30 a.m. on Monday (27th April).
