Very sad to read the news of Siobhan's passing. Siobhan was a stalwart fellow canvasser with me when we were getting the vote out in the 2011 general election for the then-unknown Independent Stephen Donnelly. Stephen told me afterwards that "it was Arklow which swung it for us." Whatever about subsequent political events, we established a firm friendship then, based for my part, on my admiration for her integrity and her deep commitment to what she truly believed in, especially social justice and the Irish language. I look forward to seeing Liam and her family tomorrow at the Funeral Mass and Christian Burial at St. Gabriel's. RIP
