DAVITT (née Day) (Loughlinstown, Dublin 18) - March 24, 2007, Joan, peacefully, in her sleep, in the wonderful care of the doctors, nurses and staff at the Blackrock Clinic, after a long illness borne with remarkable courage, wonderful patience and a lot of humour; will be sadly missed by her husband Maurice, her best friend of more than fifty years, and by her devoted and loving children Jacqueline (Earley), Michael and Stephen, her grandchildren Nicholas, Richard, Robert, David, Zoe, Caroline and Mikey, son-in-law Gerry and daughter- in-law Alex, also her brothers-in-law Fr Tom and Brian, sister-in-law Edina and by Frankie, Helen, nieces, nephews and other relatives, also her large circle of wonderfully supportive friends. Removal from Fanagans Funeral Home, Dundrum to the Church of Our Lady of Perpetual Succour, Foxrock arriving at 5 o'clock on Tuesday evening. Funeral on Wednesday after 10 o'clock Mass to Deans Grange Cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations if desired to the Irish Cancer Society. House private.
