BRACKEN Johnny - (Cahirciveen and Athlone) - We lovingly remember Johnny who died suddenly December 8, 2016. Johnny's wife Mary, children Nicola, Maria, Fiona and John, sons and daughter-in-law Herbert, Anthony and Elaine, grandchildren Aileen, Cian and Cara would like to express our sincere gratitude to the Bracken and Lyons families and to our wonderful friends and neighbours who supported us following Johnny's untimely death. We would like to acknowledge the huge number of people, including many of Johnny's former work colleagues from the wider education sector, who visited our home and attended Johnny's funeral Mass celebrated by Fr. Brendan O'Sullivan, Fr. Declan Shannon and Monsignor Dan O'Connor. Thank you to his fellow members of Athlone Golf Club who provided a Guard of Honour, to Patrice and Bernard Coyle for the music and singing, and to all who contributed to making his final farewell so special. Special thanks to all those who helped in the Shamrock Lodge, the ambulance services, doctors and nurses at I.C.U. University Hospital Galway and to Organ Donation Transplant Ireland. We are forever grateful to those who sent letters, Mass and sympathy cards, to those who made donations to The Irish Heart Foundation. We are extremely appreciative to all who shared their memories of Johnny's kindness, wit and humour. No one could tell a yarn or sing a song like him. We miss him every day. Anniversary Mass on Saturday, December 9 in Coosan Church at 3.00pm.He lived, he loved,
he laughed, he died.
Ní bheidh a leithéid ann arís.
