EWING - Michael (Knockvicar, Roscommon) On our beloved Michael’s first anniversary, his family would like to express our sincerest thanks to all who attended Michael’s funeral, called to our home, and sent expressions of sympathy. Thank you to our neighbours, friends and family for their kindness and help, and to Knockvicar Community Alert who provided a Guard of Honour. Our sincere gratitude and appreciation to President Michael D. Higgins for his moving tribute to Michael and the attendance of his Aide de Camp at his funeral. Thank you to Michael’s former colleagues from the Irish Environmental Network for their warm tributes, and the many organisations and individuals who paid tribute to Michael and his work. Our thanks to Minister Catherine Martin TD, Jill Bell, Bláithín Gallagher and Anja Murray for their thoughtful words at Michael’s funeral. Our sincere gratitude to the Oncology doctors, nurses and staff in Sligo University Hospital for their care and kindness to Michael, and his family. Our appreciation to the North West Hospice where Michael was cared with compassion and tenderness.

Thank you to Shivnan’s Funeral Directors, for your professionalism and care in organising Michael’s funeral. We will always remember and be thankful to David Knight and Mossie Martin for the beautiful music they played for Michael as he left his home for the final time. Please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our sincere gratitude for the support and kindness we received. Michael was a very special husband, father, grandfather and brother, and he is missed and loved every day by his family and friends.
