BROWNE EJ (Died September 4, 2007) (Ballyleague, Lanesboro, Co Roscommon) - On the first anniversary of EJ's death, his wife Joan (née Brock), daughters Olive, Denise, Emer and Mary, and his sister Clare Reilly and family (Eugene, Dominic and Eamonn) would like to express appreciation and gratitude to all who offered sympathy and comfort during his illness, and at the time of his death. Special thanks to our local doctor, Colm Farrell; to the staff at the Bons Secours in Dublin, Dr. Liam Grogan, Jackie, Celine and the hospital chaplain; to Ann Igoe and the Palliative Care team in Roscommon; and to our Daffodil Nurse, Eleanor Moran. EJ was overwhelmed by the support, good wishes, phone calls, visits and cards received from friends, neighbours and former colleagues throughout his illness. Special thanks to Fr Larney Shine an EJ's cousins Fr Dominic, Fr Peter and Fr Tommy Gillooly; to the Ballyleague choir; to his Bridge and Golf friends who formed Guards of Honour; and to all who participated in the funeral ceremonies. Thanks also to Adie Farrell, Funeral Director. We are grateful to everyone who attended his removal and Requiem Mass, to those who sent letters of sympathy, Mass cards and floral tributes; and to all who provided kindness and support. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass has been offered for your intentions. EJ's first anniversary Mass will be celebrated on Saturday September 6, in the Church of the Holy Rosary, Ballyleague at 7pm.
