MARA P.J As we remember P.J. on the First Anniversary of his death, January 15, 2016, his family wishes to express sincere gratitude to all those who supported P.J. in his final illness and who sympathised with us at the time of his death. P.J. is sorely missed by many, but we are grateful for the fond memories and wonderful stories which have been shared with us by those who mourn his passing. A special thanks to all who attended and cared for P.J. during his illness at The Beacon Hospital, especially Mr. Michael A Murphy, Professor George Mellotte, Dr. John Magner, Dr. Silviu Gligor, Ann Brady and her team at the ICU, every one of whom were caring and compassionate in their care for P.J. We thank Fr. Patrick Claffey for his kindness and pastoral care and for helping to make P.J's Funeral Mass so special. Also the concelebrants: Fr. Tom Stack, Fr. Enda McDonagh, Fr. Dermot McCarthy and Fr. Brendan Kealy. We thank too, the organist Irene Nealon, the cantor Emer Barry, the readers and the pallbearers. We truly appreciate Staffords Funeral Directors for their guidance and also Mike Keogh of Corless Funeral services in Galway. We are thankful for the support of An Garda Síochána in Dublin and Galway. Thank you to the many people who sent thoughtful sympathy cards, letters, Mass cards and floral tributes. We are so grateful to those who paid tribute to P.J. in repose and offered personal condolences and those who attended the Funeral Mass and travelled to the burial in Kinvara. Thank you to Fr. Frank Larkin for his prayers at the graveside. We also thank Kinvara GAA, Chris O'Brien the piper, Dr. Michael Brogan for singing and the pallbearers. A special thank you to David Monks former manager of Hilton Double Tree in Dublin and Mike Burke of the Pier Head, Kinvara and their wonderful staff. A year later we are still broken-hearted at the loss of our dear P.J. but we are indebted to you all, thank you for helping us to remember and to celebrate P.J's life. We trust that this acknowledgement will be accepted as a token of our gratitude.
