MEANEY, (Gleann, Lissycasey, Co. Clare) - April 14, 2014, peacefully, at Milford Hospice, Limerick, Michael, brother of the late Sr. Mary Mercy, St. John of God Convent, Kilkenny. Deeply regretted by his cousins and many friends. Rest in Peace. Remains arriving at Our Lady of the Wayside Church, Lissycasey on this (Tuesday) evening at 7.30 o'clock Funeral Mass tomorrow (Wednesday) at 11.00 o'clock Burial in Kilchreest Cemetery.

<p>I believe we shared educational experience back in the 40's</p> I knew a very special friend and fellow scholar, Michael Meaney from Lissycasey, at St Flannan's College. We shared class from 1943 to '48. If this is the same Michael, I will regret that I have not had the opportunity to even briefly renew our friedship and to say a sad farewell to a person I so liked and admired, very sincerely, Terry McNulty
