MEDLYCOTT, John (Knockraheen, Roundwood, Co. Wicklow) – June 12, 2023, beloved husband of Elinor, dearly loved father of Maria, Lucy and Tom and father-in-law of Richard and Gráinne, much loved grandfather of Ben, Seán, Frankie, Meg, Eoin, Brian and Ellen, cherished brother of Frances Hourie and Dot Roberts, he will be sadly missed by his extended family and friends. Funeral Service tomorrow (Thursday) at 11.00am in Calary Parish Church followed by burial in the adjoining Churchyard.

John & I met at TCD over 60 years ago. We have stayed in touch & been good friends ever since John was an excellent headmaster & historian. My condolences to Elinor, Maria, Lucy & Tom.
