GATENBY Peter Barry Bronte (Sandycove, Co. Dublin) - August 24, 2015, after a short illness, expertly cared for by the staff at Our Lady's Ward, St. Vincent's University Hospital, beloved husband of the late Yvette and father of the late Odette; will be deeply missed by his son Robin and his wife Kate and their six children, his sister Jenny Vella and her family and many friends. Funeral service on Monday next, August 31 at 11.30am in Christ Church, Park Road, Dun Laoghaire followed by cremation at Mount Jerome Crematorium. Family flowers only please. Donations if desired to Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind.

Professor garenby was at the hieght of his teaching career when I was at Trnity in the 1960's. He had a superb approachable personality and remarkable depth of knowledge. I am most grateful to him. My sincere condolences
