O'FAHERTY - Anna, Greystones (née O'Kane) On the First Anniversary of our beloved Mum's death (January 20, 2021) Paul, Denis, Mary, Donal and Peter and the extended family would like to thank most sincerely all who sympathised with us at that sad time. We are very grateful for all the kind tributes on rip.ie and the numerous cards, letters, calls and messages of condolence. While the numbers who could attend Mum's funeral ceremonies were restricted we were strengthened by the knowledge that so many joined us online. Also the visible support of those who gathered outside Foxrock and Greystones churches and lined the way as her funeral passed from her home in Heathervue through Greystones was a great comfort. We deeply appreciate the carers, neighbours and friends who looked after Mum so well at home and the nurses and staff in St Vincent's Hospital who helped us to stay in touch with her and kept us informed on her condition. Your kindness and love will never be forgotten. Our sincere thanks to Fr Aquinas Duffy for receiving Mum's remains into Foxrock Church and to Fr Gerard Tyrrell for celebrating her funeral mass in Holy Rosary Church in Greystones. We are grateful too to Mark Kinsella, funeral director, for guiding us through this difficult time with such sensitivity. Mum's first anniversary mass will be on January 23 at 11.30am in Holy Rosary Church, Greystones.
